Resort Township Compost Park

Resort Township is proud to provide its residents with a community compost park located at 4888 Resort Pike Road. Materials collected here are later transferred to the Emmet County Recycling Pleasantview Road Drop-Off Center.

Compost Park Hours

Starting Friday July 4, 2025 the compost site will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9am – 5pm.

Accepted Materials

The following materials are readily accepted at the township compost park,

Compost materials to include, 
grass clippings,
leaves,
plants,
weeds,
pinecones,
shrubs,
vines

We are currently unable to accept the following
Stumps
Wreaths
Garland
Boards
Posts
Pieces of wood
Rocks

Many of these material may be dropped off at the Emmet County Compost Center located at 7363 Pleasantview Road outside of Harbor Springs. For additional information please visit the their Compost Page.
